June was crazy busy with so many cub scout activities
as well as family get-togethers, I decided I would have to
break up the month by activity. So here is the first one:
Parker's cub scout pack took their first fishing trip of the
summer at Sugar Pine Reservoir. It was a fun trip with
great weather and beautiful scenery. We even had a
grilled hot dog lunch. Parker had a great time fishing
and swimming in the lake with the other boys.
Parker swam over to this little island to try out
the fishing. He didn't catch anything.
The food was so good. We had grilled hot dogs,
potato salad, chips, and watermelon.
After lunch we took a hike around the lake to
get to this rope swing.. The boys took turns
going on it. I was surprised that Parker
wanted to try it but he loved it and went
on it several times.
On the way home we stopped to get ice cream.
A great way to finish up an awesome day.
The tricky part of rope swings is when to let go. Looks like a great time. Has he ever caught a fish?
ReplyDeleteNo, he hasn't, so he kind of thinks fishing is boring. Hopefully next time he will catch one and then think it's fun.
