In September is our cub scout's district family camp
at Camp Lassen, which is 45 minutes northeast of
Chico. It is a really fun weekend full of many
activities for everyone to participate in. This is
our second year going and we really enjoy it.
Breakfast.
Opening flag ceremony.
Getting instructions from the Range Master before
getting to shoot .22 rifles.
Parker loved shooting the .22. What is it with
boys and guns?
Camp Lassen has a great ropes course, with
several different activities to choose from.
Getting geared up to climb a big pole for the
leap of faith jump, where they try to grab
a ring off a sack as they jump.
At the lake, the boys can go canoeing
and kayaking.
Parker is getting to be a real pro at kayaking.
At camp at night, we roasted marshmallows
and hot dogs around the campfire, made
s'mores and ate brownies and chocolate
chip cookies that I brought.
WOW! That is a lot of cool stuff. I want to take shooting lessons too.
ReplyDeleteSince it is family camp does that mean that the whole family can go? Why didn't Tim, Hayley & Hannah go as well? Looks really fun.
ReplyDeleteThey never want to. Yes, I wanted to shoot the guns too, but didn't want to take away from Parker's time.
