Parker's Play Date

Parker had his friend, Christian, over for a play date this month after school.  They did their homework first and then played with his legos.  I thought it would be fun for them if I made some spritz cookies and let them decorate them.  The boys had a blast and the cookies tasted delicious.

Going to See Santa!

As Parker wanted to go see Santa at the mall, I decided to make a night of it.  Before we left I took some pics of the kids, possibly to use for our Christmas card this year.  Then the girls, Parker and I went to dinner at the food court and then went to go see Santa.  They had moved the location due to the fire at the Galleria last month and it was downstairs where the kids play area usually is.  It wasn't busy at all which was nice so Parker got to see Santa pretty quick.  Then we took some more pics in front of the huge Christmas Tree near Santa and then Hannah and Parker rode the carousel.  It was a fun night out.

Here you can see the garland Chris sent
me last year for my staircase.

Christmas Tree Farm (Costco) Day

Our annual Christmas Tree Farm (or rather going to Costco) Day started with the kids opening their gifts and then a waffle breakfast.  After finding the perfect tree, getting it in the stand, and putting the lights on (Tim's favorite job of the season) and me running to Target about three times to replace burned out strands, the kids helped me decorate it.  Parker loves to put the ornaments on and does a great job.  We then had pizza and pumpkin pie and watched a Hallmark Christmas movie "November Christmas" which was really good.

Cake Decorating

Parker is learning a lot of different things at Cub Scouts.  One week, Parker's friend Christian's mom came to the den meeting and taught the boys cake decorating.  She had various colors of frosting and different tips to use.  The boys learned how to use some of the tips and decorated brownies, cookies and cupcakes.  It was a lot of fun and I learned some new things as well.

Our Year in Review, Part 2!

Here is the continuation of all that we did this year:

In July, Hayley got her hair permed.

In August we went to the California State Fair.  We
invited Hannah's friend Sandra to come with us.  It
wasn't too hot that day and we all had a great time.
The Dinosaur exhibit was awesome!

Al & Betty's 60th Wedding Anniversary Party!

In September, Parker's Wolf Den went Bowling.
Hayley and Hannah came along and bowled too.

In October, Parker's wolf den went over to our den
leader's house to learn about tools.  They got to try
them all out and then make their own mini chalkboard.

Hannah!

Parker's 2nd Grade Play "Character Matters".  It
was a cute play with the kids being Fairy Tale
characters learning about good character traits.

Parker and his best friend, Christian.

Hannah and Hayley dressed up for Halloween.  They
both were invited to friends' Halloween parties.

Hayley's 19th Birthday Party!

Hannah made the Springview Middle School
Cheer Squad this year.  She is really excited to
be on the squad and is having a blast.

Their first time cheering for the boys'
basketball team.

Fruit and vegetable turkey Parker made at cub scouts.

Our pumpkins from the Box Family workshop!

Thanksgiving Day 2010!

Our Menu:  Herb Roasted Turkey, Sausage and Apple
Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Candied Sweet
Potatoes, Orange flavored Green Beans, Homemade
Rolls and Pumpkin Pie.  It was all very tasty!

Hope you enjoyed our little walk through 2010.  As you can see we have been
pretty busy having a lot of fun times.  Oh, and Hayley got her driver's license in
August and is enjoying driving around and I have to say it has been pretty convenient too.
