Pack 102 Swim Party

This year we were hosts to our cub scout pack's annual
end of school potluck/barbecue and swim party.  We had
barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs as well
as several delicious salads and desserts.
Everyone had a great time. I don't think we
have ever had this many people in our pool at
one time but all the kids had a blast.

Sugar Pine Reservoir Fishing Trip

June was crazy busy with so many cub scout activities
as well as family get-togethers, I decided I would have to
break up the month by activity.  So here is the first one:

Parker's cub scout pack took their first fishing trip of the
summer at Sugar Pine Reservoir.  It was a fun trip with
great weather and beautiful scenery.  We even had a
grilled hot dog lunch.  Parker had a great time fishing
and swimming in the lake with the other boys.

Parker swam over to this little island to try out
the fishing.  He didn't catch anything.

The food was so good.  We had grilled hot dogs,
potato salad, chips, and watermelon.

After lunch we took a hike around the lake to
get to this rope swing..  The boys took turns
going on it.  I was surprised that Parker
wanted to try it but he loved it and went
on it several times.

On the way home we stopped to get ice cream.
A great way to finish up an awesome day.

April/May

For some reason I didn't take very many pictures in
April.  I guess we really didn't have much
going on or I just forgot to bring
my camera.  So I am combining April and
May activities..

Hannah and Parker coloring Easter eggs.  We hadn't done
this in years so the kids had a lot of fun being creative.

On May 2nd, Tim and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary. This
is the basket our family sent us.  It was filled with a lot of
great gifts cards for us to use.  We really enjoyed it.

For Hayley's Sac State leisure class, the second activity
she chose to do was to go shooting.  She has some friends
who go to the shooting range regularly and offered to take
her and teach her about shooting and gun safety. She had a lot
of fun shooting the .22 and wants to go again and use
 the bigger guns.

Parker's cub scout pack had a Pancake Breakfast
fundraiser at the Kiwanis Club carnival.  The boys
had a good time serving the food and earning money
for their pack. Hannah came to help and earn
community service hours.

Parker's cub scout pack celebrated their promotions dinner
at the end of May.  Parker advanced to a Webelos 1.

Receiving his new hat and neckerchief.

Another fun cub scout event was the Water
Wars at the park.  They boys had fun shooting water
guns at each other and getting really wet.

Mr. Patrick, one of our den leaders, had a huge
squirt gun and was nailing everybody with it.
