Disneyland Trip - February 2013

We finally made it to Disneyland after promising Parker we would
go for about two years.  It had been almost 12 years since
we had been with the girls so it was kind of like Hannah's
first time too as she didn't remember much from her first
visit.  We spent three days there, not counting the traveling
days and had an amazing time.  Disneyland never disappoints.

We stayed at the Best Western Courtesy Inn.  It
was a nice, clean hotel with adjoining rooms which
was nice with the kids.

Enjoying the room after a long drive.

Day 1 at Disneyland.
On the tram ride to the park.

Walking down Main Street. We are
finally here.
Our first ride of the day, the Pirates of the
Caribbean.  Always my favorite.

 The Haunted Mansion.

The sailing ship, Columbia.  Hayley wanted to
ride on it but it was closed when we were there.
 Darth Vader made an appearance.
Parker loved seeing the Jedi Training Academy.

 The Storybook Canal ride.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.  Always a lot of fun.

The Jungle Cruise.

Tarzan's Tree House.

Hayley loved the treehouse.  Disney's Tarzan
is one of her favorite movies and she said she
could live in it.

Sleeping Beauty's castle all lit up at night.
A beautiful sight.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we all stayed home and had
a nice, relaxing day. At least it was relaxing
when I wasn't in the kitchen cooking dinner.

Waiting to come downstairs to see what
Santa brought.

We took a break from opening presents to
have homemade waffles and sausage for
breakfast.

Christmas Dinner.  The menu was spiral sliced ham,
scalloped potatoes, homemade rolls, broccoli, and
orange jello (Chris brought one for Thanksgiving
and everyone loved it so much, I fixed it again.)
For dessert we had homemade apple pie and a
myriad of sweets I had baked earlier.

We decided after last year to save our stockings
this year for after dinner.  It gave everyone
something to look forward to. Parker had thought
it was a good idea last year, but then had a hard
time waiting until after dinner this year.
